2. Tubelight (2017)

    Box Office Collection: ₹156 cr.

    IMDb Rating: 4.2/10

The plot line was as absent as the hope of a clear sky in Delhi. But the box office collection stood at 156 cr. and proved us wrong even when the IMDb rating supported our belief.

3. Judwaa 2 (2017)

    Box Office Collection: ₹169 cr.

    IMDb Rating: 4/10

This was another remake mistake, in a long line of mistake remakes (remember Himmatwala, Ram Gopal Verma ki Aag, and Karzzz). Then the box office collection figure of 169 cr. came in and left us stumped, though not as much as the movie.

4. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015)

    Box Office Collection: ₹267 cr.

    IMDb Rating is 4.7/10

2015 was the year when Bollywood creators decided to bring back 90s romance with Raj (SRK's character in Dilwale) and Prem (Salman's character in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo) - we wish they'd go back in time and stay there, though they might not have earned 267 cr. in the 90s.

5. Gunday (2014)

    Box Office Collection: ₹119 cr.

    IMDb Rating: 2.1/10

This bromance worked better off screen than on screen, but the box office collection showed otherwise. The movie went on to earn a whopping 119 cr. worldwide.

6. Grand Masti (2013)

   Box Office Collection: ₹123 cr.

   IMDb Rating: 4.3/10

With a collection of 123 cr., this movie holds the distinction of being the only adult comedy to enter the 100 cr. club. It was also the movie that convinced India that anything, literally anything, works at the box office.

7. Son of Sardaar (2012)

   Box Office Collection: ₹119 cr.

9. Ra.One (2011)

    Box Office Collection: ₹150 cr.

    IMDb Rating: 4.8/10

Shah Rukh Khan's magnum opus when it comes to VFX effects did rake in the moolah with a collection of over 150 cr., though we wish the story had received as much effort as the VFX effects did.

10. Ready (2011)

     Box Office Collection: ₹164 cr.

     IMDb Rating: 4.7/10

Apparently, bhai ke fans were readily queuing to watch this movie (it earned 164 cr.) even when the rest of us struggled to sit through even the first half.

11. Bodyguard (2011)

     Box Office Collection: ₹196 cr.

     IMDb Rating: 4.6/10

Clearly, when bhai is on the silver screen the story can take a backseat because the collection will cross 100 cr. like this one did with a collection of 196 cr

I know we all love our cheap thrills, and these movies are at times the perfect medium for that, but there is a definite need to make Bollywood's 100 cr. club a little more exclusive - and the onus for that lies as much on the audience as it lies on the movie makers.
